Barrett Sigmund directs the Conventional Investments group at Security Properties, where he has been employed since 2002. At Security, Barrett has been directly involved with acquiring over $1.5 billion of multifamily properties in the Western United States. Acquisitions during that time have ranged in size from 38 to 645 units, generally in a partnership with institutional equity. Security targets core-plus, value-add and opportunistic acquisitions. Barrett has succeeded in sourcing institutional properties on an off-market basis, and implemented a diverse range of value-add programs tailored to the individual asset/location to maximize returns for investors and partners. Barrett received a degree in Economics from Allegheny College and an MBA from the University of Washington.
