Don Wise

Now retired, Mr. Wise had overall responsibility for the formulation and successful implementation of North American real estate investment strategies for Metzler Real Estate’s institutional and private clients.

Mr. Wise brought over 30 years of substantial real estate experience and leadership to the firm. Prior to joining Metzler in 2003, he directed asset management for Unico Properties and, earlier, that company’s property management and leasing group. Mr. Wise also led various real estate assignments in principal markets across the US on behalf of LaSalle Partners (now Jones Lang LaSalle). He began his career with The Austin Company in Chicago, where he helped design and build a number of industrial, laboratory and office facilities.

Mr. Wise has served several non-profit boards and civic organizations including Leadership Tomorrow and the Seattle City Light Advisory Committee, which he previously chaired. He is active in professional organizations serving as a board member for the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) and as an advisory board member for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Northwest district council. He previously served the Seattle Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) as President in 2003.

Mr. Wise received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He also completed the Executive Program at the Stanford School of Business.
