Julie Howe

Julie Howe brings over twenty-five years of experience in real estate development and asset management. She has spent her career managing the acquisition/rehab and development of multifamily and single-family projects, both conventional, affordable/LIHTC and demonstration, senior and family, ownership and rental. She is drawn to the complex and innovative. She has a passion for projects that are blazing new trails in how we live more affordably and build community such as cooperatives, coliving and cohousing. Julie currently serves as the Director of Real Estate Structuring at Forterra. She has served as development manager and investment manager for various organizations including Security Properties, Threshold Housing and Shelter Resources and has spent several years as a consultant and Principal at Urban Evolution. Julie serves on Mayor Jenny Durkin’s Affordable Middle-Income Housing Advisory Council and is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Transit Oriented Development Product Council. Julie is also a licensed real estate Broker.

Julie has an undergraduate degree in environmental design and architecture from the University of Colorado – Boulder and a Master of Urban Planning with a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington. Julie is currently working on an Interdisciplinary PhD at the UW.
