Nicole Kerr

Nicole has worked in the design and construction industry for over thirteen years. Most recently, she was the commercial marketing manager at the architectural firm NBBJ developing multi-year strategic growth plans across nine international offices. This deep dive into the global commercial market sparked her interest in the business of real estate and urban development. Nicole is pursuing her MSRE to deepen her knowledge of project financing, capital markets, and sustainable development with a focus on urban infill development. She was recently chosen to participate in the 2020 Runstad Affiliate Fellows program.

Prior to relocating to Seattle, Nicole lived in Los Angeles for twelve years. There she worked with environment graphic design firm, Sussman/Prejza, and architectural firm, HMC Architects, on business growth initiatives for the commercial, civic, corporate, and higher education markets.

Nicole grew up in the blue-collar town of Erie, Pennsylvania. The city’s decades of job loss and economic vitality influenced her perspective on the built environment and responsible development. Nicole has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Media and Certificate in Business Management from Rochester Institute of Technology.
