The College of Built Environments, University of Washington is seeking applicants for a part-time appointment for the MS in Real Estate commencing in September 2017. The individual selected will be teaching the course: “Leadership in the Built Environments” in the autumn quarter of 2017. This course will be taught on Tuesdays from 12:00 – 2:50 pm.
The course focuses in breaking down the discipline barriers and allowing a real world interdisciplinary education for the students. Prospective instructors should be familiar/prepared to conduct class simulations and case studies on topics such as real estate, urban planning, public policy and other similar issues. Subject areas to be covered in the course include: student self-assessment, communication/leadership styles, team building, motivational and adaptive leadership, leading in crisis situations as well as global team building and ethical leadership.
Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in a relevant field and teaching experience is preferred although professional experience will be evaluated accordingly.
